Data we collect

• Account: name, email, password (hashed), phone, profile photo.
• Service and pickup addresses in the United States.
• Repair and trade-in requests, quotes, device photos, reviews.
• Payments: amount, status, provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
• Sessions: login cookie, CSRF token, IP and browser during the session.
• Contact and service-request forms (name, email, optional phone, and the details you submit).
• Chat with the on-site automated assistant (the text you type). We do not use the chat to sell your data.
• WhatsApp messages if you choose to write to us there.

Purposes

• Create and secure your account.
• Process repairs, trade-ins, IT support, and web projects.
• Collect payments and keep records.
• Respond to the request you submitted (email, phone, or WhatsApp only if you asked us to).
• Meet legal obligations (invoices, warranty).

We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Phone numbers and emails from forms are used only to answer your request, not for marketing lists.

Recipients

Your data stays with GlobMicroFix except when a provider is needed to deliver the service:

• Stripe (cards).
• Cloudinary: photo hosting (repairs, trade-ins, avatar).
• Resend: transactional email.
• Google: sign-in, if you choose that option.

Retention

• Account and profile: until you request deletion, then anonymization.
• Sessions (IP, browser): up to 30 days.
• Invoices and paid repairs or services: as required by law (typically several years).
• Contact messages: up to 2 years.

Your rights

Depending on your state (including CCPA where applicable), you may request access, correction, deletion, and a copy of your data, and object to or limit certain processing.

• In your profile: edit information, download your data, delete the account.
• By email: support@globmicrofix.com.
• Complaints: Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Texas Attorney General consumer protection.

Hashed passwords (bcrypt), httpOnly session cookies, CSRF protection, HTTPS in production, login rate limits. No system is perfect; we will notify you of incidents as required by law.
